Freebie or pay?

I have been under the impression that on Sept. 23, 2011 the new Railworks 3 (NEC 2012) will be automatically sent free to all RW2 members. I now see advertisements that it can be purchased from Steam for $31.00 USD and some are already using it and say it's great. I'm a bit confused now. I would like to have the NEC route either way but do I pay for it now or will be sent to me free in a couple of weeks?

John

It's not the NEC route that's free to current users. It's RW3 Trainsimulator 2012 that's a free upgrade.

Correct. The NEC is an add on that you can purchase now. RW3/ TS2012 is a free upgrade to RW2 that will be an automatic update on September 23rd.

Thanks Hawk, I understand now. Blame it on age. Will order from Steam today! NEC was always my favorite route in MSTS. Happy to know I can continue to ride the NEC rails for atleast another decade or so and be back in my native Philly....... John
