I am a newbie and i have a question to ask,in the game when you are wanting to change the juntions so that you can hook up other cars how do you do that without having to go to the 2D map. When i put my mouse over the junctions it will show a hand and when i click on it nothing happens so i cannot hook up other cars please help with this problem.

Pretty easy: "G" on your keyboard for the junction ahead of your engine, "Shift G" for the junction behind.

Oh and welcome on RWA. Nice to have you here. *&!welcome!&*

From any camera view, hover your mouse around the switch lever until the pointer changes (you should see a yellow lever). Left-click then. You will see the switch lever moving, and the points themselves moving. Repeat if it didn't work. On some switches, there is a visible indication of the switch position, and that will change as well. You can even change them from inside the cab, by using shift-left click.

I found the easiest way is to play brakeman and use the free-roam camera, walking in front of the loco and twrowing the switch from the ground. It is easy to make a path this way.

EDIT: removed the requirement to keep the mouse button pressed, as it is not needed.

You can also use the 2D map (9 key) and shift/ left click on the blue dot on the switch you want to change. You should see the color of the track change to the direction you want to go.

Well after a lot of trial and error i did get the junction's to work but using the G key still would not do it and trying to left click did not do it either so i went with the 2D map and after getting mad for some time it worked so again thank all of you for your respone and help.
