How to Place Trains in NYC Station for NEC

Unread postby Marleyman » Tue Aug 30, 2011 4:26 pm

Ok, 10 mins messing on how to place a train in NYC Penn Station on the NEC route taught me that the best way is to make a consist up and save that. The go Below the station and look up at the platforms, select a train from your consist build and place it on the platform Above you.

I just got a superliner in there after 10 mins of trying the 'usual way'.

Did you notice while driving, the 8 key view or world view doesnt work in there either? You cant fly around and look.

I don't have NEC yet, but no underground section will let you do an out of cab view, nor will it give you any other out of cab view. At least in my driving. I get put squarely back in the cab and I can't even get a "heads out" view until I'm out of the underground or tunnel.

You can use the terrain tool to lower the terrain below the track so you can switch views. That is what i'm doing.
