Hi,

I have just joined the forum so Hello to you all,

Just a bit about me! I am a long time Flight Simmer and MSTS user from the start of it, i bought RS a few years ago but did'nt really get into it after they said there would be no support for it and carried on flying but having been a forty year railway modeller until moving to my present home where i have not got the room for a layout anymore i got the itch again and bought RW2 last week and finding my way around it i find its a great sim and i'm really enjoying myself running it,

My PC at the moment is old [like me] but come this Friday i will have a new one so i'm looking forward to running RW2 a lot better :D ,

Regards,

Roger.

Glad to have you aboard. Hope you enjoy Railworks as much as I have. BTW, Railworks America is a great website...non of the bickering that you see on other sites.

I agree with that. People here to enjoy RW, not "nit-pick"
Welcome aboard.

Hi,

Just thought i would pop in as i have my new PC going after a few !*hp*! hours as i ordered it without an operating system as nearly all PC's here are Windows7 and i prefered to install XP and i'm not what you would call a PC specialist but i'm pleased thats its working ok.

Railworks 2 is running great and at last i am able to turn up the graphics and looking forward to hours of enjoyment.

Cheers,

Roger.

I think you will be surprised with Win 7. MS did a better job on this version than with Vista, which got a lot of bad press. XP was a great OS, but its really showing its age. In my industry I am actually being held back from developing better applications because it needs to run on XP as well as Win 7. Also MS will discontinue long term support for XP in 2014. If you keep a machine around for 5+ years this means you should consider upgrading soon (Win 8 is coming out next year supposedly).
