Ok, I'm a very new newb, I dabbled a little with a model RR at home till the kids came along. Last week I found my new hobby called Railworks 2!
I've already started to learn about the World editor and am having a blast creating stuff. I downloaded Michael's Southern Pacific (SP) & Union Pacific (UP) Dash9 Re-Paints but have no clue how to install it. I must have gone through just about every thread in these forums not being able to find what I need.
I need a tutorial called " How to re-skin for Dummies". Would someone please be kind enough to point me in the right direction, or possibly provide me with a link maybe? Also, I don't know if this makes a difference, but I'm running Windows 7.
Thank you for any help and I appreciate this great site that has already tought me tons of stuff.

Jay

If I'm not mistaken, those repaints need this DLC in order to work: http://store.steampowered.com/app/24067/
If you're like me, you will end up owning all the US locomotive packs/DLC. Hehe.

Check in the Rolling-Stock Design section there are some tutorial in there if you want to get into re-painting: viewforum.php?f=9

Cheesie beat me to the post!

One more thing to add. Once you have the base model you usually copy the GeoPcDx file(s) it to your repaint folder. Here is an example:

Thank you for the links, I downloaded MS paint's latest version, Rw Tools and have the tutorial. But now I'm stuck. In the tutorial it says (" Make sure the Texture Editor Path is correctly set up in RW_Tools ") How do I do this? Sorry, I have the computer skills of a llama.

In RWTools, click on Options, then Texture Editor Path, then browse to the exe for your texture editor.
I would recommend a better texture editing program other than MSPaint. *!!wink!!*

Well, i guess it's just not meant to be, I deleted MS Paint, installed Paint.net (the tutorial said this was ok). Then go to texture editor path and put in from the drop down menu "C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe" I then follw the instructions till I get to dash 9 and click add to list and nothing happens.
