RSC: Will Railworks 3 improve the Steamintegration?

Unread postby scorcher24 » Sun Jul 17, 2011 2:34 pm

Since you do not post on steam forums, I came here :p.

Serious Question though:
I have the Problem, that when I take a screenshot in RW2, I cannot upload it when I left the current game-session already. When I upload it while running the same session, it is displayed without a name in my Games List.
Example with 1 screen:

The others are friends only :p.
As you notice, in the dropdown, there is no name. But there should be one. Just make it displaying Railworks. To be honest, this is really disturbing me. I take a lot of screenshots and I really want them to display under the correct name. Esp. since I will get Trainz some day too and want it to disginguish the screens properly.

Will we get an option to finally launch the Game directly instead of going over the Tools? Why not making a selection on start of the program like ARMA II does?
Example:

This would be so much better.

The third, not so important Question:
Well we get new Achievements? :D

Thanks for reading and maybe even answering.

I get the impression fro your post that you may think this is the official RailWorks forum.
Just to let you know, it's not. We're just a friendly neighborhood forum. !*salute*!

There are a couple of the RS.com team that post here occasionally, but this is not the 'official' RS.com forum.

I know. But they ignore the official Steamforums. Since they post here, I thought I give it a try to get an answer.

I don't think it's that they ignore the Steam forums, as they are kind of busy, and they do have to maintain their Facebook page as well as their web site, not to mention all the work they're putting into the sim.
Granted they do post occasionally here and at UKTrainSim, I honestly don't think it's a matter of them ignoring the Steam forums.

As a matter of fact, Paul Jackson, in response to this post by one of our esteemed forum members, found at this link; viewtopic.php?p=18825#p18825

We try and help each other with RW problems. A post over there would mean a ton of good relations. Just a suggestion. !!*ok*!! http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/f ... .php?f=619

had this to say.

A good point, well made:-)
Would you apologise on that forum for my tardyness and say I will get myself sorted out with membership Monday and post something.

Would appreciate it if you would, and thanks for bringing to my attention.

I just hope he makes some time to actually do it. I posted over there and they were excited about all the news. !!*ok*!!

Scorcher, have you tried sending Steam Support an e mail? It could be something on their end that's the problem. Just a suggestion.
