Blender and Python 2.6

Whats the secret to getting Blender 2.49 to recognize Python 2.6.
No matter what or where I place the Python files I can't get Blender to see them.
Make Sure Brain is Engaged Before Operating Tongue or Fingers

I finally got it. Found the right site and download version.
Make Sure Brain is Engaged Before Operating Tongue or Fingers
