GN Butte Route Assets

Unread postby km7276 » Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:11 am

Hello,

I am thinking of downloading the GN Butte Sub route found here in the Freeware Routes downloads. However it requires scaleroads from 3D Trains and AP Station Pack. I have searched for both and cannot find either of these files for download.

This route now considered dead or can one still find the asset packs needed somewhere?

I think the AP Station pack was rolled into one of the core assets a few years back.

Hi,

You can safely ignore the AP station assets pack, I can't have used more than a handful of models from that and you might not even notice them missing. ScaleRoads might be a more noticable issue there won't be any roads visible without it.

However, neither should prevent the route from loading or functioning properly (really only tracks-related missing items can) if you want to see how it looks. A word of caution though: I never finished this route (the Great Falls area had some play value though IIRC) and it was one of my earliest attempts in RW.

Cheers,
Michael

Go read towards the end of the Powder River Basin thread. There is a link to the 3D assets since he has left the stage. It should contain what you need.

Thanks for all the info on the assets for this route from all that posted. Thinking that if the route was not finished I will pass on this route an just shoot for the 50s-60s and 60s-70s route backdates I found on steam.

I am curious, is there any GN scheme locos outside the ones found on steam? Interested in knowing if there is any versions of the SD45, GP35, and FT's that have been skinned in GN colors.

Thank You all that assisted.
