http://www.justtrains.net/developProduct.asp?pid=666Powered by Trainz 12, with multiplayer. I think RSC better get their butts in gear! (not that I have any intention of changing over)

Sorry, but always when I hear the word Trainz, I must think of a model train.

When I see the word "Trainz" all I can think of is bad marketing... and bling. RW the one for modellers atm, one can but hope that it'll be the one for operations fans soon.

I still dont have intentions of changing either. cartoonish simulators have their place for the kiddos. I know RW will hit that top level soon here.

No thanks. Bought one of the early versions and hated it, bought 10, or 11... Whatever had the engineers edition and laughed at the person who modeled their awfully inaccurate HST, then I saw the AEM-7 and the Acela in the Trainz 12 video and it isn't modeled right either. They sure do love rounding and smoothing edges for some reason.

tried one of the demos about 3 years ago and didn't like how unrealistic the gameplay was.......RW is still for me

Plus they picked the most uninteresting and boring section of the NEC. A cool 18 mile jog from Delaware to Philly.

Pass on this simple fact alone.

No, the headlights are not wrong. SP had them that way...

Oh...well you learn something new everyday. I was wrong, my bad.

I'm still going to pass on this because I love RW, and it suits my need as a virtual engineer and as a route builder.

You're not going to see me change just because they have SP

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Trainz so I'll pass too.
First I couldn't get the sim to run for more than 20 minutes without a crash, then there's the problem of installing third party content. They practically NEVER include all the parts you need for the locomotive to work. You have to find the parts yourself on the web or through their content manager. And half the time you get corrupted or outdated files.

Didn't Trainz actually start out as a model railroad simulator? Which is something I could never wrap my head around. If you're going to buy a model railroad simulator, might as well buy actual railroad models and start your own physical layout.
