I believe there have been unfounded rumours going around for a long time about a new MSTS.
For the XBox, MS might be following the interest in TSW from their commercial point of view. Developing a TSW2 competitor from scratch to the same level as their newly announced flight simulation? I doubt it, given the effort involved.
But who knows? Serious competition will be good for DTG, it forces them to really improve their game.

That comment was never meant to be starting an unfounded speculative rumour, I said
MAY YET not will.
MS are doing that for Flight Sim why not Train Sim at some time in the future?

This comment IMO is far more speculative rumour based:

. Having multiple platforms for any game is not new and there is no evidence that DTG marketed TSW solely as some sort 'of x box thing"!!!
