Railworks loading time

Unread postby glenn68 » Sun May 08, 2011 8:48 am

On a few forums I seen a few posts tabout the time it takes for Railworks to load. I did a few Google searches on speeding up windows 7 since that is my operating system. I did two simple tweeks the really inproved my loading times.
1. I shut off my search indexing in Windows 7.
2. I used a 8 gig flash drive and speed boosted my system.

I noticed that loading times of the program and loading of routes are about 1/2 of what it used to be, and I have a very fast computer and video card. 4core AMD, 8 gig ram, 850 mhz ATI Raedeon video.

Just a thought,

Both very good suggestions. Ready Boost helped my system, because I have half the RAM that yours does. But, I also did this: http://www.abithelp.com/guides/topic1261.html. Really improved both load times, and that "stutter" you get in game when it's loading from the hard drive.
