I may have found a simple solution to my sound file problems with Searchlight Signal Enhancement packs. Not a lot of money at 10 bucks a pop. The questions are how simple are they to install and any pros and cons? From what I read does the use of them kill your DPU's if you are running any?

They have an automated installer, it's super easy to install with that. Just remember to read the manual.

The DPU's have to be one of theirs or it won't work however as long as it's another with the enhancement it will work just fine.

So if it is an ES44 or Dash 9 it is just dead weight?

If it's still available they make one for the ES44 also.

They do not. Currently on the web store they only offer EMD sounds / enhancements. If it does not allow me to use my DPU's I am dead in the water on a few of my Stevens Pass routes. Too heavy with out them. Installed helpers are a Dash 9 & an ES44. Thanks for the really quick replies! I cannot get the SD40 or the SD70ACe files from the forum library installed. My short coming is technology. I do not have the skill set to install those. I would love to learn though. I have posted a couple of times about that without much luck.
