Cloning routes manually?

Unread postby pkz19 » Sat Nov 24, 2018 3:23 pm

Forgive me if there is a better section to post this, I wasn't sure. Is there a way to clone routes manually? There is a route I want to do some extensive work on and I'd like to clone it first, but every time I try to use the in-game function, the game crashes and if I get an error message about a temp dump with code 0xC000005 labeled as an access violation. I've tried going into the Assets folder and copying the route there, but then it doesn't show up in the game. Any way around this?

Yeah, the in game clone function was unstable at the best of times, I don't know if this 64-bit version upgrade has made it any worse, best to use RW Tools to clone a route, or, a scenario, do you have that installed?

Go into the routes editor and click on your route, then press the 'Clone Route' button and it'll ask you to name your new route, then it will clone the whole route including any scenarios in their folder, if you don't want the scenarios cloning take them out and put them on your desktop, or, somehere else, and leave the folder empty, you can always put them back in afterwards.

This is what it will look like in RW Tools.
