Boy howdy,

I didn't think this innocent and sincere posting would cause such a stink.

First off I am not the kinda person to pirate or make a illegal copy of something I desire to hand off to someone else. I served this country and did my duty by the book for 16.5 years till combat wounds ended my career. During that whole time I did all things in a truthful and honest manner. Even if sticking to the truth was to my detriment. You realistically own only one thing in your entire life, and that is your name. What people think about you when your name is mentioned is yours to establish.

Second I have contacted the author of said items to ask his ruling on the situation. I am a regular customer and as I have modeled locomotives in the past I understand the amount of work and dedication he puts into his models.

So call me anything you want, just don't call me late to dinner, I am pursuing this matter. As the old German military dictum states: "In the absence of orders do something, anything. As long as it is in the intentions of achieving the original objective..."

Well, I can tell you one thing:

If you pursue the matter of giving the locomotives away, then that is in violation. Buzz has said "No" because you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT give out free stuff when the actual product has to be bought*. Some see that as a form of pirating, which is not tolerated here. Unless Britkits says you can give 'em away then I'm afraid that you just can't.

Also it sounds like you are using your 16 and a half years as a military veteran to justify what you have done, even if it can be considered illegal. Although I do respect your service to your country, using your military veteran status to say you should be allowed to do this seems quite ignorant.

Cool off, man. You have not been called a pirate anywhere in this forum.
Anyway, It is illegal. However the pirate part of this transaction would be the receiving part, even if you delete the locos from your TS2018.
