Misalignment with RWDECAL

Unread postby SithMurcielago » Sun Mar 27, 2011 9:01 am

I'm having problems with rwdecal in that the pictures taken from google earth are some how out of alignment thus making the tracks look disconnected as well as the scenery. How do I fix this problem?

Do you mean the problem that if you put additional decals to your first placed afer the markers, but then the decals don't suit the first one/ the other ones?
I have the same problem with my route. :D

So my solution is to just place the decals so that they suit the others, starting from the first one I align them per hand to each other.

No what I mean is is the image in the decal is misaligned. leading to disjointed scenery like the tracks.

Isn't it CTRL + S to take a screenshot?

Buzz- When you created your decals did you have automatic rotation set to on, and set to the location of your route?

Prolly not I'm going to check now.

Edit: Looks like I didn't. Not sure how it is suppose to effect the image itself, but all I know is when I look at the decal and i see a misalignment or disjointed in the image it throws off the marker path I made in Google earth.

I believe this is what he is referring to. I have not found a solution to this, it has to be on Googles end.

Ok. And this on the border of two decals or somewhere in one single decal?

I forgot to mention this but that is the way it looks in Google Earth. This is a screen shot from Google Earth. No decals.

Thankyou Sleepto. That is what I mean, but I checked on google earth and that misalignment isn't there so im thinking it is caused by the rwdecal. Its tough trying to keep things lined up.

@Tom This occurs in one decal.

Hmm, very strange. Ididn't have this problem so far.
What decal size do you use. The bigger your single decals are, the greater is the chance that there are faults in it.

The screen shot I took is from Google Earth and has nothing to do with RWDecal. The area is in East Texas at the Longview yard and there are a few areas that have this problem.
Apparently when Google Earth put their pictures or panels or whatever they use they misaligned some of them. I don't know if other areas have this problem, maybe Google Earth is messin with Texas !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! .

Haha. I don't think they mess with Texas.
