"Friday 25th March 2011
2 FANTASTIC NEW ROUTES OUT TONIGHT!

Tonight sees the release of two amazing new routes for RailWorks 2 Train Simulator. We have a real treat for RailWorks 2 drivers, with the release of the long-awaited Edinburgh – Glasgow Expansion Pack and the beautiful Portland Terminal Expansion Pack. Both routes include appropriate locomotives for you to drive and scenarios for you to complete, plus all the details of the actual real-world locations to create a stunningly realistic simulation. The Edinburgh – Glasgow Expansion Pack recreates the 46-mile line from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High, and includes the Class 170 in Scotrail liveries plus new liveries for the HST and Class 37. The Portland Terminal is closely modelled on the lines around the port and waterfront in Portland, Maine and includes EMD E7, GP40 and SD40-2 locomotives in suitable liveries and scenarios to introduce the route and test your driving skills. Both routes are available to buy on Steam tonight – click below for screenshots and more information."

Finally we get the Portland Terminal (if everything goes right this time). !*brav*!

Very, very, dangerous statement to make given how many times Steam have screwed them over with regard to release dates the past 3-4 months. I'm not sure how well RS.com will be able to handle the backlash if this one goes wrong....

There really is no backlash as it is. A couple loud and over the top people getting all the attention while the rest have been fairly rational about it. The hobby complainers will do so regardless. Like it being released in the PM and not the AM. *!rolleyes!*

Usually in Steam time but I have seen other releases being available quite quickly so it would be handy to keep an eye on the steam application itself.

I for one can not wait for the E&G route but want to know the exact price as I still havent seen anything anywhere about it , all I know is they are releasing the Class 170 Turbostar with the route but for those of us who have it already they will get the route at a lower price as there is no need for the Class 170 again

Personally, I can vouch for the E-G line - I lived in Lenzie for 15 years and the screenshots are absolutely identical to the route! It's amazingly accurate!
