Starting the new NH E33 Electric

The new E33 comes in both a "cold and dark" version, requiring a 15 step startup, and a "running" version, where everything seems ready to go. I can't seem to get power to the motors and therefore any movement in the running mode. If anyone has solved this problem, please let me know. Thanks.

Have you checked the TM Cut out switches?

That startup sequence video, in which the author has to correct his mistakes several times, strikes me as a convincing argument against adding this otherwise intriguing engine to my roster.

Does the second control stand (on the long hood engineers side) work? Also, I would like to see a CR reskin of this thing before I think about buying it. NH never had the chance to do much with the E-33 as cool as this looks.

Thank you Anthony for the excellent video. I am trying to start the "running" version, and when I check the initial status, all the steps in the video have been completed (battery knife switch, relay cabinet, traction motors cut in, etc.) but when I release the brakes and move the throttle a few notches, nothing happens. Thanks for identifying the red light source.

Verify that the control switch has been engaged to run, and that the "control" light is on your desired stand. If it isnt, hold the reset position until it is.

Why? Because you have to read the manual and there is actually a little bit of a learning curve? It always grinds my gears when developers like Reppo and VRC actually create advanced and realistic locomotives, yet people proceed to complain because they can't figure how to start them up and are too lazy to read a manual.
