The Lightning Stripe Lives On With The Finger Lakes Railway

This is basically the closest thing to a "modern" New York Central Railroad as anyone is going to get. This small shortline has about 100 miles in total of track in New York State and I just thought it would be neat to show since it's not a very big name brand or well known railroad. Note: NONE of the pictures are mine and I do NOT claim them to be.

Note: This map has a mispelling. "Ontairo" should be "Ontario" and their HQ/main yard is in the city of Geneva.

Their b23-7's do most of the work on the lines.

They have a few gp9's with varying external features. This is their low hood.

A small army of sd38-2's are the other big road locomotives they use besides the b23-7's. [As of this post] they recently acquired some gp38-2's.

Neat! It's nice to see an older GE loco running around. It's a nice break from the GP38-2's. !!*ok*!!

I just thought it would be kind of neat to show this because even though the New York Central railroad has been "dead" for almost 50 years now. The paint scheme lives on. Especially with some of the work Buzz has been focusing on lately.
