Secretiveness about new route at 3D Trains. What is it?

After several guys have asked about the current projects of Marc and the 3D Trains team on their forums, Marc has revealed that he's working on a new route for Railworks.

This is the info he has given:
"Here's a few hints:

* The route contains two Class-1 railroads working in unison
* Both passenger and freight trains are featured
* Contains three fair-sized yards and crew change points
* Most trains require helpers up and down the grades
* Contains four active branch lines, two of which are fully modeled
* The route has been a major corridor for over 100 years

Cheers!
Marc"

So my question: Can somebody imagine which route this could be? I would say somewhere in the Rockys? !*don-know!*

Marc has already shown his love for the beautiful F7 Santa Fe Chief, one of my all time favorite locomotives. I can only hope this new route expands on that love. Which means instant love from me (and instant buy, of course!) !!*ok*!!

I'm going to guess somewhere in the North.

It might be a Canadian Route. Niagara Corridor I'm guessing. If so I'm dying for some VIA Rail Stock.

I don't think so, although it would be nice. I especially miss the Canadian side in RW. Rogers Pass would be a good addition to the game.
But 3DTrains is a California based company and so I expect something in the Rockies, the Sierra Nevada or the Cascade Range, but pretty sure something in the US.
But I know it'll be a surprise.

A route in the Rocky Mountains would be just amazing. But really any route from 3D Trains is guaranteed to amaze. This has got me so excited! !*YAAA*!

And I agree with Eric about Diesels West. If we got some of their locomotives with this route, I'd be in heaven.

Agreed. I wish the dynamic brakes worked on his F7 model though!!

I have found most if not all locomotives in this sim have one "bug" or another. With as much painstaking work that goes into modeling anything in this sim you are bound to miss something. I'm not a "rivet counter" (not putting any of y'all down now !**duh*!! ) so I can live with a few faults. I do get a little peeved when I get the dreaded "SBHH" after a new DLC, tho. You will learn that can be dealt with easily enough (most times).

Marc seems to have (indirectly) created quite a buzz about his upcoming route. !*hp*! !*drool*! !*YAAA*!

New hints by "Hack":

"Speaking of the Cal-Z, here's another hint...

While the route focuses on a later time period, the California Zephyr had traveled over the route once during the 1950s.
Cheers!
Marc"

"QUOTE(TomG @ Mar 20 2011, 3:46 PM) 'And the RGZ a few times in the 80s?'

Not that I know of. It was a one-of-a-kind (and very odd) detour, although the background scenery didn't put it too far out of place. Cheers!
Marc"

So some people think it might be Donner Pass, but this is unlikely because it is only served by one class1 RR today (UP).
Another one said that it might be the Tehachapi Pass.

So what do you think?

Tehachapi makes the most sense. The Zephyr doesn't use (or ever used) Tehachapi on a regular schedule. So one detour in the 50's could have happened, and was overlooked. But then again Tehachapi is to far South since the Zephyr ran/runs to San Francisco. But yet stranger things have occurred when it comes to detours.

Hmmmmm.... this looks fun.... think I'll toss my two cents into this mix.....
I can't say why and I won't offer a guess, but I suspect that all the guesses so far are wrong.
