That's normal in TS, that the sunrise and sunset times are not very accurate to real time. No need to verify cache etc.

I just tested this on my rig and it's fully light out at 7:30 AM here.

Five fifteen AM.

I believe quickdrive works off of a different set of time of day and weather files.

My test was on a free roam.

That won't fix it. It is a common issue with some routes and basically nothing can be done about it. This question about sunset and sunrise times has been mentioned on other TS forums with no solution. Probably has something to do with the core game. Don't think even DTG could fix it.

What routes would that be? I am still not seeing any of this except in QD which has many strange things happening sometimes. Remember I believe if memory serves that DTG/RSC invented the QD so it should not be part of the core game.

There is a lot of myth-information about quick drive. It's just a scenario with a couple special rules. There's no magic involved.

Here's a shot in Summer at 7:30 am at Castle Douglas on WLoS. Looks daylight to me. Which suggests that the problem noted by the OP originates not with QD, not with WLoS, not with the time and season. Perhaps it is a local settings problem. I have no idea.

It's been mentioned the season being used, but not the weather type. So it could well be that the op is using one type of weather and others are using a different one, which would go some way to explaining the disparity.
