Can we agree that using Reshade is consdered doctoring the photo? as it is being post rendered graphics and is not the base game it's self?

No, I don't see it that way.
It is like a "in-camera" special effect.

But it's a mod to the game, and it's kinda not fair to some people that cant use it. I can use it but chose not to for this reason. but it does act like a editing software. just that it does it real time.

I agree with Zack. Reshade makes fine pictures but we should only use it for non screenshot competitions.

Why do you have to make this so hard all the time.

No Photo doctoring means NO PHOTO DOCTORING. In game out of game, shading whatever. Just take a screenshot normally and submit it.

Welp, I suppose anyone who ever uses my weather mod or texture mods or anything like that is not applicable anymore then.

I wont be entering any screenshot contests anymore.

We need to sort this out. Yesterday someone asked me if it was OK and I said yes. I might be wrong but I thought doctoring the photo after it was shot not using something readily available to the game. What's the dif between using 3D weather or Euro weather or original weather?

I wonder why even stop people from using photoshop? Screenshots to me seem like art and and artist should be able to use whatever they want to try to get the feeling across that the want to portray. I bet you the kind of screenshots people are afraid of (overdone colors, weird filters, etc) aren't going to win anyway.

I don't personally use photoshop but I spend hours and hours tweaking weather files, inserting new skies and fiddling with reshade to make something I think is believable, is that not worthy?

We did the rule about not altering screenshots because many don't have photoshop or its equivalent. That's different than using some custom altered weather gadget IMHO.

Well you know I don't think there will be any more contests so that won't be a problem anymore. When people start reading between the lines to say something, I believe I had enough.

Can't you just follow the rules and guidelines? Its good to have your opinion but what the admin says is what the admin will have. If he doesn't agree with your opinion then agree with him and be done with it all. It may be good to ask questions but once answered the conversation is over. By the way we are dealing with a computer game and taking screenshots here. *!rolleyes!*

I definitely agree with everyone voicing their opinion but please follow the admins' rules. If he says "no" then lets make it a "no".

Alright, let's let the perpetrator step in.
I'm the one who asked Buzz if Reshade is doctoring. He said no, which someone saw, starting this argument.
Guys.
It takes me two seconds to turn off Reshade. Save the file to somewhere else for a moment, set up the screenshot, snap it, then redownload reshade and boom. Done.
Can't it be this simple for everyone else? We don't need this "It is, it isn't, why even host contests..." Bull.
If it isn't that simple, than I have no clue what to tell you. Sorry.
