heavy snow storm

Does anybody know how to change the weather such as a snow fall to an really heavy snow fall, similar to blizzard conditions. There used to be some addons in MSTS to do this.I have made a wedge plow to use for winter conditions but the default snowfall is pathetic.

You mean something like that?

(The weather is called "SnowStorm", but I don't know which route has it, maybe Bay of Qinte?)

Hi all
Yes I built that plow. It is patterned after a picture from my books of a wedge plow in 1890. It is also for my old CPR route that I am building.I am going to upload it hopefully soon, but I am trying to work on the blowing snow textures so that it doesn't show in the summer. I have a static plow that can be used for a scenery item .It can be put in the yard some place just for show. Enclosing 2 pictures of it,one summer and one winter. I can upload that if anybody is interested. You will notice the front guard rail is bent on the left side as during a plow session it got hit by a big rock!!!!!!!!
The type of snow storm I am looking for is an actual blizzard There was an addon for MSTS that was great. It even had the sound of the howling wind...

I still have about 17 miles to go to finish the route, although I haven't laid a lick of track since early last fall.My wife went in for a hip replacement late in october. Was supposed to be in just for a few days but due to some complications she was in for almost six weeks.I got her home just before christmas but even now she still requires lot of care and lot of my time.
A friend of mine sent me a web link with a video of old time railroading in the winter in the Selkirks,so I thought since that is a section of the route I am making I will need a snow plow.http://www.nfb.ca/film/railroaders#.
I am just starting to get back into it now.

Hiya,

You can create a weather blueprint which you can control how the wind/snow is.

Hi, the wiki gives you a good idea of how to do it here.

http://www.railsimdownloads.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Weather+Pattern+Blueprints

Also a PDF file which you can find pictures relating to the subject.
