Identifying dependencies?

Unread postby OldProf » Sat Jul 16, 2016 11:29 am

I'm thinking of putting my TS installation on a diet by removing the check marks from some routes on the TS page of the Steam site, but I'm not sure how many other routes might have dependencies (is that the correct term?) on those I'm thinking of removing. Is there a quick and easy way to discover which other routes are required by a given route, such as Settle and Carlisle, which I haven't played in ages?

I know or think anyway that you have RWTools. In there there's a tab where you ask what assets are used and it will tell you quickly.

I'll take a look for that. Thanks. I've used RWTools less and less since AP files came into existence.

I pulled the v3 NS-AND out of retirement to use as a locomotive test bed earlier this week. I wanted to check dependencies to see what it would actually need should it be released again. RW_Tools listed almost every Kuju Asset as missing, even though it was visibly present on the route. The Tool itself says that the files will list as missing if the .AP is not unpacked.

Just unpack the .ap using RWTools.
