Is It My Imagination?

Unread postby harryadkins » Fri Jan 21, 2011 12:47 pm

I was re-running a favorite activity of mine last night on the Castle Rock route. It has two Dash-9's pulling a coal train out of Monument with a SD40-2 helper on the rear. On a whim, I decided to try using dynamic braking as the train was going downgrade. After setting the dynamics at 11% the train slowed in a realistic manner and was in total control. Before when using dynamics, the train would brake quickly to a stop no matter where the dynamics were set. So, is it my imagination or have the guys at RailSimulator been working on the dynamic braking function? I have had two small updates this week but have been unable to find any documentation on their purpose.

That would be interesting to know, because I had this phenomena with a better working Dynamic Brake too, yesterday evening *!question!* *!question!* *!question!*

Thats all info that is :
Sporadic installation check of the Jubilee and 8F
AI collision on Geordie Deltic
Removes the 380 scenario that found it's way into TestTrak.
Consist Op stats are recorded correctly toward Achievements

Ohh , I see, that Info was from an older patch released in October **!!bang!!** , my fault! *duckandcover*

Railworks was updated via steam once or twice in the last days, but this updating could have been that:
Sporadic installation check of the Jubilee and 8F

thats what I mean, I always remembered the dynamic brakes as either doing nothing, or decreasing speed too much. Maybe harryadkins and I have !*cheers*! too much???
