Optimizing graphics

Unread postby KPryor » Thu Oct 15, 2015 3:14 pm

I got a new GeForce GTX 970 graphics card today and hoped I would see an improvement in frame rates on routes like The Race Track. My old card was a GTX 750 Ti. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be different to speak of. I'm sure my overall system is more the problem than anything, but hoped it would improve some. Probably the biggest problem is my "old" system only has PCIe 2.0 instead of 3.0. I hope to upgrade the whole system one of these days but the wallet can't afford it right now. My system is:

I7-920 (first gen I7)
12 gb RAM
Game running from SSD
Windows 7 64 bit

Any suggestions on tweaking my settings would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on your desktop select Nvidia Control Panel. In the manage 3D settings select the programs settings tab, tick only show programs on this computer, then select a program to customize, find TS2015/16 in the drop down menu then select what options you want.

Thanks, but I guess what I'm asking is if there are optimal settings within the nVidia control panel for this particular game.

I have adjusted the settings in Nvidia control panel for my card but cannot remember what I adjusted. It is a bit of trial and error. Hovering you pointer over each setting gives you a description of what it does.
