DB BR232 - Questions About Combined Braking And SIFA

Unread postby FHRob » Tue Oct 06, 2015 11:34 am

I hope I'm not imagining things, but this is an excellent piece of rolling stock. The physics work and the sounds are very good. !!*ok*!!

Here's my questions:

1 - The instructions aren't very clear about when combined braking takes place. I see using the HUD display to brake will always result in combined braking, but otherwise need clarification.

2 - In which situations does the dynamic brake on/off switch need to be used?

3 - SIFA - is it prototype for the system to come on every 30 seconds, even when there's activity? Also, when does the buzzer sound other than at the time SIFA is activated?

Again, my compliments to DTG if they produced this engine. If not, my compliments to whoever did. !!*ok*!!

Haven't driven this loco for a while but, cannot remember sifa working on it. Don't think DTG implemented it.
