G-Trax' Durango & Silverton

Unread postby _o_OOOO_oo-Kanawha » Mon Jul 27, 2015 11:58 am

The thread about Bumbleberry Logging rekindled my interest in old-time steam trains, as some of the assets used come from G-Trax' Durango & Silverton narrow gauge route.

I bought this a couple of years ago, and it seems to have lingered in some install ever since.

I was pleasantly surprised rediscovering this gem. The hand of the master clearly shows. I thought I even recognised some assets and the same style of texturing from MSTS's Feather River route.

The route and trains are no longer available from G-Trax direct, but nowadays from http://www.drhs315.org/blog/drhs-shop/ds-train-sim/ Durango Railroad Historical Society, very appropriate.
Originally, it was one base file and two patches. Has the route been updated since, or is my install still the current one?

With Briktits 3 foot Shay and some cars out, and probably more to come, a narrow gauge route to run them on will still find a market.

I am toying with the idea of converting Bumbleberry Logging to narrow gauge and extending its track down to Ronceverte on the COARW as a tourist railroad addition.
