Just saying hi!

Unread postby TrabantDeLuxe » Fri May 29, 2015 9:27 am

Hi!

After a long time of lurking and reading through the topics here at RWA I have decided to jump aboard. I'm a 25 years old guy who, just like most of you, has an interest in stuff that moves on rails (and the rails themselves, , and the structures next to the rails, and the companies that operate(d) all this, and, and, and). I've recently gotten back into train simming as a bit of an alternative for model railroading, but I do enjoy the actual driving bit.

At the moment I'm trying to create some rolling stock (Dutch, early 20th century - I hope that isn't an issue here!) and I really liked the technical discussions going on here. I hope to contribute to, and get input from other content creators.

-deLuxe.

Sometimes being a Trabant owner makes me wanna cry ;)

You can certainly create any rolling stock you wish.

Phew! Imagine I wasn't ;). In all seriousness though, it might be that you guys want to keep this forum US oriented. Might try my hand at something US one day, but not now. I'm kinda seriously lacking in knowledge there.

Quitting model railroading is like quitting smoking. Its hard. It sucks. And the second you see someone else with one you want it.

Dont worry. Im in the same boat. Enough rolling stock to recreate a day on Marias Pass and not a single unspoken for square foot in the house.

My old minitrix/fleischmann set is at my parents place. In a lot of cardbord boxes. As a uni student, both my wallet and spacious (ahem) apartment say "NO".

I've been in a Trabant, can't say it was a Deluxe model though, haha, anyway, welcome to Railworks America, even us Europeans are made welcome over here, although there's no donuts and muffins available, regrettably...... !*roll-laugh*!
