Marias Pass MSTS Scenarios

Unread postby bnsf9580 » Mon May 18, 2015 9:39 pm

Hey guys,

I was driving the Marias Pass tonight, when I realized how much I missed playing the old MSTS scenarios, particularly the one where the Dash 9's drug grain cars to Essex during a snowstorm. I was wondering if it were possible to see what scenarios came with MSTS for that route, or at least descriptions of them so I could remake a few, specifically that one. I tried to remake it, but I'm not sure the starting point, direction, etc. (I last played MSTS 7 years ago... in 5th grade......) So with that, I was just curious.
Thanks!

UPDATE: Further research yielded results! I found a video with the scenario I was looking for! !DUH!

Look in the workshop. Search for scenarios by "thegraygryphon", he has redone many of the MSTS Marias Pass scenarios.

I think this is the one you're talking about: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =363236629

You may install OpenRails. This can run MSTS scnearios, but also can give some information on the scenarios. Not sure if this would be enough to recreate them.

Thanks! Sorry, I've been pretty busy but that's the one! I did find a YouTube video and do a poor recreation of it myself, but thanks!

Interesting! I never knew there was such thing. I assume I would have to have MSTS though, which I unfortunately do not, but thankfully I can find a few YouTube videos and such to attempt to copy it all lol. Thanks again! *!!thnx!!*

Open Rails works without MSTS. You only need MSTS if you want to use the editor. Read the FAQ. http://www.openrails.org/
