changing weather DURING freeroam

Unread postby gwgardner » Sun Dec 14, 2014 6:41 pm

I've been running the same freeroam scenario for months, 'operating' my railroad one session at a time, picking up during one session where I left off in the last. I'm getting tired of the same weather session after session. However, if I go into the scenario editor to change the weather, doesn't that force me to restart the scenario? Is there some way to dynamically change the weather for a given session without restarting the scenario?

How about hacking the scenario file to change the weather?

I would first make a backup of the scenario files.
In my experience, touching a scenario properties file makes the game delete the saved session.
probably it compares the last modified dates.

Perhaps you could use an utility to reset the last modified date on the scenario properties file.
