DTG new US DLC drought?

Unread postby fecrails » Sun Oct 26, 2014 10:16 am

I don't recall a time since I started with RW that upcoming new US content in the pipeline being promoted by DTG has been so empty.

During July and September there was more US stuff than anywhere else. They also have a lot of stuff being worked on that we do not know about.

Har Har, Buzz Killington... !*roll-laugh*!

Buzz... are you ever going to post those Donner GP9 windows to the file library, so others can enjoy them? I find myself driving that little red and grey creature quite allot, since you fixed the windows for me. *!greengrin!*

Well, it seems to me DTG and its third party creators have reached the end of what can be done with the basic Diesel locomotive shapes they inherited from Kuju.

We have the GE Dash8,9,ES series with narrow and wide noses and a few carbody and truck variations.
We have the EMD SD40/60/70 series with narrow and wide noses, low and tall.

What other locomotives are left to create from these moulds?

Plus, I have the impression standards have fallen as of late. Most of the recent US Diesel loco models have glaring visual and aural flaws that yet haven't been corrected.

I still stand behind my point that DTG better expands on their present routes. We could still use more PRR steam, Diesel, passenger and freight stock. Ditto ATSF, SP, UP, GN, BNSF, Amtrak, NJDOT, CSX, NS locomotives and cars.
