Looking for product reviews

Hello all!

I'm expecting a pay check in the next few weeks which means I'm in the market for something train-related. I've so far just bought things directly from Steam simply because that's what I've known and if I made scenarios with dlc that's mostly what was allowed for publishing in the past. However as of late I've decided to expand my horizons a bit. Specifically I'm looking at Britkits steam locos. There seems to be quite a few locos there and all of them I guarantee you I can find plenty of uses for across routes such as Marias Pass, Sherman Hill and maybe Donner Pass. That and the price looks pretty good: $7.50-10.01 per loco - WAY cheaper than $19.99 per loco on steam !!*ok*!!

I'm wondering if anybody could give me some product reviews. They look like good models - I just want to know how good they are before purchasing anything.

Like Dick Cowen says himself he is not a rivet counter so if you want to take a super close up look at every little detail you may not be satisfied. Having said that his kits give you all kinds of choices with most models to change all kinds of stuff like headlight configurations, white wall wheels, different smoke box colors and all sorts of tender choices as all his tenders are interchangeable. After you master his numbering and road name configuration there are a huge number of choices of numbers and road names. All in all (and I am a unapologetic steam fan) his models in this guy's opinion are one of the best buys out there. I have every single one of his steam locomotives and look forward to his next offering.

Thanks Buzz! I'm not a rivet counter myself so that at least is a good match. !!*ok*!!

I'm excited to hear about that 2-10-2 and I don't even own any of his kits yet *!greengrin!*
