I'm probably going to the W.P. Railway Museum in Portola CA sometime soon.
If anyone has any picture requests, for developing a particular loco, tell me now. They're pretty open over there and might get me into a needed cab or something.

If you could, Could you get a Cab shot of the Rotary Snowplow?

I have been back there in 2010. the most exciting unit there is MILW 5057. A groups wants to move it up here in Washington State to be put on display on the old MILW mainline..

A hand measurement? If you're being serious, can you scale the rest of the engine, from something like the axle centerlines?

Send it Bro. I'll see what I can do. I'm going to have my hands full with a small niece and nephew. *!greengrin!*

Make sure to include the engine or car in question. That way I can just print it out before leaving.
Maybe include a snap shot of it, so I can find it easier.

I will try and get some cab shots of the rotary, but I can't guarantee anything. I'll have to see who I can chat up. Maybe a gal behind a desk... *!greengrin!*

The trucks and undergear are the same on both Baldwins. The stairs are slightly different though, as are the ends of the hoods. But everything else was the same on both.

I can't upload the pics or contact anyone via PM right now. !*don-know!*
So, if those who want pics can try to contact me and send an email. Not here though, try and send a PM from your account.
Just found out, there must be a limit to PM attachments. *!embar*!

By the way. There is some forced perspective on that one shot with the brake links. It looks like 2.5 inches but it's closer to 2.75 or even 3 inches.
Somewhere around 65 to 75mm.
One of the interesting details I noticed was the wiper motors.
The wiper motor behind the engineer's seat is on the outside of the door behind the driver.
The wiper motor ahead of the conductor's seat is also on the outside of the door.
The other wiper motors where in the normal location on the inside of the cab.
The fuel tank mounts are interesting as well.
On one end, the tank sits on a beam, using a welded on L bracket. On the other end are two tongue and groove mounts with very large shear bolts, holding things up.
