Permissions for file use in readme's

Unread postby sabreman61 » Sun Jul 13, 2014 7:53 pm

I really enjoy this game as I had mentioned on many occasions. I make horns and are currently making a route. I also just did my first re-skin not repaint. I had to try to get permission to use some texture files made by someone else. That person is no longer part of the railworks community. I got a hold of a site administrator to find out what my options were and I was able to go ahead and do it. I myself don't care what people do with my files just as long as they give me the credit for the work. They can take credit for the upload if they uploaded it or any improvements. Just make sure that you mention that the original work was done by me. I believe in sharing my freeware with as many TS2014 Communities and there are alot out there. I feel that the more communities my files are on the more people are enjoying it around the world. I try to put that in all my readme's so people know what they can do with the file. To all the modders, repainters and freeware creators for this game please start putting your permissions in the readme so people can know what they are allowed to do with your files.
I think this would clear up any confusion anyone may have about what they can do and in case anyone else leaves the community and your files are still here.
!*cheers*! !!*ok*!!
