Changing Couplers

I'd like to change out Ian's couplers on his new equipment for the Type E couplers with the air hose. Unfortunately, his do not come with air hoses.
Has anybody done this? I'd hate to boff up his great freight cars. Also, forgot how I did it a few years ago for all my freight cars.
Thanks for any help.

It depends on the folder path and exactly what he calls his couplers.
Then it's a simple matter to install a .bin from the couplers in Question, into the existing coupler folder... usually.
What is the file path to his couplers?

If you want to replace them with the BritKit one which I like it's in the usual path. Just follow Mr. Cowen's instruction and BOOM, there you go. If you need more help holler. RailVehicles\Couplers is the path. It will change all his cars in the Seattle Route.

I have swapped out all my freight car couplers with GreatNortherner's coupler with the working hoses design. He has various colors of Type "E" Buckeye couplers on all (almost all) of his freight cars. I have found "light rust", "dark rust", and "black" colors that I use by changing over to the particular 'coupler.TgPcDx' texture file for the color I want. It is not that hard to do.
The only problem I have encountered in my conversions is with the PRR freight cars bundled with the Horse Shoe Curve route. A brake hose is part of the rolling stock design and is embedded in the .Geo file. When I add GreatNortherner's working coupler to these particular cars, I end up with a non-working hose dangling beside the working connectable hose when the cars are joined up. I have yet to figure out how to edit the fixed brake hose out of the .Geo file - if it is even possible to do.

Both his and BritKits has working hoses and they also work with each other.

Do they also have the manual uncoupling gizmo? IIRC, not all couplers with hoses allow for manual uncoupling.
