EYEIN12 BNSF/CSX B40-8s?

Unread postby Noel » Sun Jun 08, 2014 10:06 am

Hey everyone.

I have a quick question about EYEIN12's packs.
Whenever I enable the EYEIN12 filters for a scenario, near the top of the list I get these entries:

Code: Select all
B40-8_BNSF
B40-8_BNSF_Y
B40-8_CSX

Does anyone know what these are? I have scoured the internet, but to no avail on these.
Thanks,
Noel.

Those are most likely referring to the B40-8W that came with his original Dash8 Widecab pack. Its funny though, they show up in my scenario editor with 5 specific BNSF numbers, and no CSX version.

I think he means these. And I'm sure they were from here on RWA.

Noel

OT: What Asset Viewer are you using to show the screen shot of CSX B40-8s YN3? I need to get a copy for my repaint work.

Those were just screenshots I found on Google. I don't have an asset viewer for Railworks.

Eyein12

OT: The screen shot shown above of the CSX B40-8s YN3 that Noel found in a his Google search has got to be yours. I am curious - The Asset Viewer you use must be in a part of your asset builder and repainting tool kit of utilities. Would you mind sharing the names of which ones you use?

That is the 2nd loco I completed. The reference in the asset editor is there because I accidently included that folder in the original c40-8 release. i deleted the b40 geo files a long time ago. The problem with them was incorrect poly configuration and too many loose edges which caused the game to studder, same for the c40 which I since fixed. I lost the reference file to the B40 loco so in order for me to do it again Id have to pull out the B40-8W and replace the cab with c40-8. I will likely revisit this when Im done with the sd80mac.

I didn't see anything on your page, but I am old and slow so maybe I missed something.

I wouldn't go on just that one "thing" that happened with that engine. A lot of times an older model can get seriously messed up when TS goes to it's next "incarnation" (upgrade? update?) Plus modellers do learn new techniques as they improve (or learn how to create/ fix stuff that TS' update just broke).

I have his Soo LIne and original Seattle routes, they are great. And several of his engines. No issues with any of that stuff at all.
