Since he is the author of the original I suspect he knows that.

It's an update of the old Rail Sim route, using many of the Stevens Pass assets (including Rick's GXTracks) to improve the scenery. It does install in a new folder, so anything you have for the old MCSA will stay in place.

So there are 2 MC&SA now?

No. There are three. *!greengrin!* The old 'modern' one, the 1920s backdated one, and now this one. Probably (hopefully?) my final edit of this route.

PS: a few screenshots, also posted on Workshop, but in higher resolution:

So, no 1920's version for the workshop? *!sad!*

Sorry, not from me. There are too many custom assets on the 1920s version, removing / replacing all those would take too much time -- and it would very likely destroy the route's "old time" atmosphere as there aren't that many U.S. steam era assets in the Steam DLC that I own.

Is it possible to copy the old MC&SA scenarios to run over the new MC&SA WS route downloaded from the WorkShop?

No problem. I enjoy running Mike's Connie on it. I haven't installed the modern route so I'll get the workshop version. Thanks! !*cheers*!

Thanks for your kind comments. I'm still pretty happy with the 1920s version, it was mostly the dated look of the original "modern" version that bothered me a bit. Besides, this route was a logical choice for a workshop-compatible conversion thanks to its low number of 3rd party assets, I won't try this with the IIR route, for example.

In theory, yes, it should be, but it'll require some work in the editor. I changed the tracks in one place, the engine shed -- any consist placed there in old scenarios will be broken after copying the scenario. Also, I shortened the siding markers to the "track end stub marker" type, so they can't be used in work orders any more and all instructions would have to be rewritten using manually placed markers in the scenario. On a route that small, this is however doable.

Cheers,
Michael

Michael

Modifying Old Scenarios is a little beyond my capabilities at this time. But at least I know now it is a possibility.

Any way, I am finding a few great new MC&SA WS specific scenarios that have been put up on Workshop. This is a really marvelous shortline route, particularly with all of the switching problem possibilities, my favorite scenario type. Outstanding! The old MC&SA and MC&SA1920 routes are still on my TS2014 install. I still drive them both.
