SRR Light 2-8-2

Unread postby UnumProvident119 » Sun Feb 16, 2014 7:55 pm

I've been trying to the the reskin of the SRR Light 2-8-2 to work and show up and I don't know what I did wrong, I have the USRA 2-8-2L by Britkits and I copied all the GeoPcDx files required for the Southern Railway Light 2-8-2
I'm wondering if I'm missing anything

Did you install the subdirectory to the correct location?

Dumb question on my part, but you do have the USRA 2-8-2L installed and running correctly, don't you?

Let me go back and re-read my instructions and installer. It could be that the mistake is mine. I'll try to have an answer for you by tomorrow night.

Does the installer point to the correct location for your install of Railworks? Do you have the latest version of the USRA Light 2-8-2? Dick changed some aspects of the model that might be affecting your install.

Stumped. Maybe you had a bad download. Try downloading and reinstalling... !*hp*!

I tried re-downloading and installing but that still did not work
I'm surprised that the file is not in rwp format

It can't be done like that, because of that GeoPcDx file. That has to come from the payware loco that you own already, kinda like "proof of purchase". Without that file, any repaint is worthless. All you see is the couplers.

You may want to take a quick read of this tutorial that one of the guys here made: http://3985gtasayoutube.blogspot.com/20 ... in_22.html It helped me to get a repaint into the sim. And if I can do it, you should have no problem. *!!wink!!*

Another suggestion. Did you have the older version? I did and just installing the new one did not work until I removed the old version and then re-installed the new one.

Wow, four years ago? Get the updated version, and like Professor Buzz said, uninstall the older then install the new.
