American Routes (Non Payware)

Unread postby SithMurcielago » Sat Feb 15, 2014 4:40 pm

While RSC Created or RSC Supported American routes come out at will, there are alot of other american type routes that are either unknown or get no recognition. These are the guys to look out for because they might just surprise you. I been looking for other freeware american routes besides the ones in this library or on train-sim.com. I visited the steam workshop which i haven't paid attention to until now.

I will keep this topic updated as I hope this will bring our hidden route builders to light and give them credit for what they do.

Thanks! I had never heard of the first two.

Great idea, maybe you could do that in this forum set up specifically for that:

At this site you can get the CSX Mainline, and i guess one of the first versions of the C&O Allegheny Div which is pretty good, And you can get lots of Rolling Stock and Engine's in OVS livery and some CSX locos !!*ok*!! http://www.ovsrails.com/downloads/rwdownloads.htm

Thanks for the addition! I been looking for the CSX mainline since Thomas's other current route doesn't work for me anymore since the upgrade. I will add this to the list.

One thing I'm noticing is that Marias Pass is coming up a lot for assets. Is there something unique or particularly neat from that route that everyone is using?

The ONLY good north american workshop route right now is Raquette Lake. *!sad!*

Hopefully I will change that when I release my route in the future, however I have'nt been working on it much lately...

Cool! I was wondering if I am the only one who still cares about free route offerings. Thanks for the incidental morale boost.

Yeah I hit a snag in my life and thus I can't afford to buy stuff like these anymore at the moment. I always wanted to bring freeware developers into this game because their isn't enough of them around. Most people nowadays are so money driven it keeps hopefuls far away because they can't afford to buy the assets they need to create their own routes in the way that they want. I'm glad this community and uktrainsim are doing what they can to make things fun and free. No one should be punish for not being able to buy payware to get the most out of this game.

With that I start my campaign slogan:

I don't think we need to bring any politics into the forum. No one is being 'punished' because they can't afford something. That's like saying I'm being punished because I can't afford a Mercedes and am stuck with my Chevy. There is a ton of free stuff out here that all you need is the basic game and maybe the American or euro pack. Just because you can't have EVERYTHING doesn't mean you are being punished. **!!2cents!!**
