Thanks, that's what I thought, I wasn't sure though since it's in the "debug" tools box.

With med-high graphics settings, this is running smoother than RW2, with only slightly decreased performance. !*brav*! Its a shame some of you are having issues...its awesome. I'm sure you'll get it figured out.

It is SO cool to look back out the window and see all the cars swaying! The immersion factor is just perfect!

The rain effects are very convincing!

The C&O route looks amazing with the new graphics!! Willamette Pass is just as incredible!

Really am loving the new sounds...the freight cars have better sounds, the brakes sound awesome...the SD40-2 is near perfect...brakes work well, dynamics actually work...

I am truly blown away by this...I havent had this much fun with Railworks EVER! It doesnt even feel like Railworks anymore! It is truly a simulator now, not just graphically, but nearing total realism.

RSC, you guys did an amazing job! Very very appreciative of your efforts. Cant believe this was a free upgrade. You've got my respect!

So far I'm tickled pink.
The new F7 warbonnet is awesome. The horn needs work but is much better than the old one.
Bell no longer gets stuck.

cnbalasub wrote:Also I did try to turn the check on in the box for Train Simulator 2012 Game Engine Technology and the error message came up on the screen. I am not sure what it is? Anyway here is below:

RS_TXT_WRAPPER_SETTINGS_NO_PS_3_0

Any idea with this line above. So I did check again to see if the check in the box for Train Simulator 2012 Game Engine Technology still have the check in the box but unfortunately it turn off itself after the error above.

Probably means your graphics card does not support pixel shading 3.0, so you can't use the new game engine.

If you are using multicore, I would suggest running in Windowed mode and running an app to monitor your core usage.. Multicore is broken from my tests and will actually decrease your framerates by a margin of 10.

I just found a graphic anomaly and wonder if anyone else has seen this. On the Welcome to Seebergbahn scenario when I use the in cab view the distant mountains look correct but when I use one of the outside views with the helicopter symbol all the distant mountains are blank untextured white masses. This was typical for most of the trip but near the last station the mountains again acquired their texture. This is not a route I particularly care about but I hope it doesn't happen on any of the other routes.

The new startup sound of the SD40-2 is pretty cool...its worth shutting your unit down just to hear it!

I'm getting exactly the opposite - very, very smooth with multi-core enabled. Vastly better than with it unchecked & actually my performance feels better now than it did with RW2.

That said - I don't have a FPS monitor ... so you'll just have to take my word for it *!!wink!!*

Hmm, sort of glad im working now, as enthusiasm is quickly turning to alarm after seeing some of the probs posted here. No multi-core?

It's an option, but it decreases framerates by 10 for me.. (it worsens performance)

This is what my core monitor shows when Railworks has multicore enabled. It's broken.. This is not how multicore works.

Yeah, I turned multicore off, turned graphics to max ( other than the built-in AA ) and I'm in the 20-30fps range now, in windowed mode which is a bit of a fps killer.

Dang! You got eight cores ( or hyperthread vitualization ) and its doing that?i! My four-cored pooch is screwed!

You already know this, but I have those gadgets (CPU, Core Temp, Speed Fan, Network, and GPU) and they seem to affect graphics performance as well. At least they do on my system, so I turn them off.

I'm googling like crazy trying to get a good deal on an I7-Mobo bundle! This upgrade is going to cost me about $600 bucks!

I know, I only enable them when I want to check what's going on.

And that's hyperthreading. :) Not 8 physical cores.. Just 4. :)

They need to do something about AA pronto, jaggy jaggys everywhere..

But.. The lighting system is splendid. This is Glasgow Central after I got done placing some diffused light assets around. Even colored up the bridge.
