A friend sent me the link to the promo clip:
https://video-amt2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t42 ... 5690_n.mp4

Does the pre-alpha showing of CSX for the presumed introduction route mean that UP is out? BNSF is most likely stricken because of the licensing issues?

OK so it looks like the teeny boppers and basement dwellers are going to get multiplayer so they will never have to interface with a real human again. I am with Edwin, are we going to get a simulator or a game? I remember well from my MSFS days the people bitching about the aircraft that were too hard to fly. Yep they were the ones that were more like the real thing.

Basically good simulation and multiplayer is a definite win. Although I really wonder about the graphical requirements.

i got to say TSW look amazing. looking forward to trying it out. and maybe it good idea to keep ts2017 cause it take little longer for them to make route in tsw like let say year unless the tools come with the tsw in February

The new "world" sure does look good, as do the locomotive exteriors and cabs.

There are still lots of hows, whats, ifs, buts and whens left unanswered.

The common release scheme is alpha -> beta -> RC -> first commercial release, right?

Given that this clip showed a pre-alpha, a lot of effort, testing, bug hunting, error correction is still needed before a Release Candidate can be sold to early adopters.

I do wonder why a UK company choose a USA route for the initial launch of their major new product? Has the modeling and route creation been contracted out to competent US contractors? Obviously, long and heavy trains like in the USA put far more emphasis on physics and dynamics than light weight high powered Euro trains.

That thought occurred to me also. That is a pretty slick presentation however I wondered if it was done on a Cray computer.

I wish they would post the specs which they use when they make these videos. I don't want to know the minimum, I want to know what I NEED for it to run/look good.

very coool/.. thank you.. Looks like we all have to start building all over again come this time next year and ts-2017 is the final.. TSW looks like it took a lesson from Star Citizen ( no cut scenes ) so that'll be fun, but it's still gonna be a hefty investment all over again..
