Nice one. !*brav*! Methinks I should probably wait with my update since I actually need to get some more screenies for a collage I'm doing.

If you are having problems after Service Pack 1 please try verifying the game cache and clearing the blueprint cache. This is a simple procedure which only takes a few minutes and we strongly suggest that you follow the steps below in the first instance to see if this resolves your current issue.

To verify the game cache please follow these steps:
1.Right Click on Train Simulator 2012 in the Steam Library
2.Click Properties
3.Click Local Files Tab
4.Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache
5.Once complete please re-check Train Simulator 2012 to see if your problem persists.

To clear the Blueprint cache please follow these steps:
1.Close Train Simulator 2012 completely
2.Open Train Simulator 2012 to the initial start-up screen
3.Click on the Tools and Docs
4.Click Clear Cache
5. Once complete please re-check Train Simulator 2012 to see if your problem persists.

All the assets I built still work, my route project opens up, but all the terrain paints are gone as well.

Well since I use default assets for mine and the textures its just a bunch of light blue squares with roads and tracks.

Same here. All default assets went bye bye, and even certain stretches of track, Scale Rail, which I've yet to figure out.

I also have naked terrain and default assets missing. Is this update a two-part process, and they did not tell us? I am all for improvements in this program. I just hope that is what this will be.....I did the game cache integrity check and the normal blueprint clear...to no avail.... I guess its "wait and see" time.

I also have the empty folder problem.
Besides that, I could not determine any changes to the folder structure as was announced by RSC.

I had really hoped this would pass off smoothly, but well, by now, I should have known better.

Nope. Unfortunately not. I'm not going to sweat it too much though. I wasn't too far into the route and its nothing I cant redo. Looking at it closer, the little place markers for all the default scenery are still there. I guess we'll just have to wait this one out and see...
