Yep, thats correct, and I believe this was intentional by RSC. I don't anticipate the older models will be updated, because I think the old default units are left in place so as not to break all the custom content created for them. But, going forward with the simulator for all future releases, these will be ignored and left "as is", and the Sherman Hill units will take the place as the "Railworks default ES44." A first time buyer of TS2013 will have Sherman Hill, in place of Barstow to San Bernardino (which is now available as DLC in the steam store, renamed "Cajon Pass"). At least thats what I gather by what they're doing.

ah but ts2012 they updated the default sd40-2 and i don't think anything got broken. actuly i think they actuly updated the core default sd40 and left the repants alone with old sd40. so why not do the same to es44ac. update the core es44ac and leave repaints with old es44ac in taced. it be better.

They updated the sounds, the lights, and the textures on the SD40-2 but they left the shape files alone so all the repaints still worked fine. The new ES44 is new from the ground up and so none of the repaints will work with the new model.

I was a bit upset at how weak my (real) K5HLL sounded once the audio guy put it in the game. I've been tweaking my recordings a bit, and hopefully I can get it either pushed out through steam, or I'll just release it here. Glad to hear you like the engine sounds though!

There is no SW1500 with Sherman Hill, unless you mean the SW10, in which case has the right horn, the looping is just a little weird.

The new ES44AC is a great product from RSC, but with one issue, the horn. I've downloaded blv727's horn pack, but I'm not sure where to install the files. I'm in the Sherman Hill folder under the ES44AC, but I don't see anywhere to paste the sound files. Any help is appreciated.

If they ever decide to re-release them with TSX, I will. Otherwise I could post the horn I use on one of them at the very least. Otherwise, just keep an eye out for the DLC that's coming out soon for more of my work.

Also, just an FYI for B7, the term K5HLL is typically a misnomer, as a true K5HLL sounds like what was included with the C45ACCTE (my own personally owned horn, although muffled for some reason). The horn you call a K5HLL is simply a K5HL with a different casted 1 piece 1L Bell that makes it sound off. The other K5HLs sound different because they have a Sandcast 2 piece 1L bell.

Finally found the way to buy the route and what comes with it, thanks to a link posted here.

The new ES44's cab is better of course. Finally the Idle position on the throttle.
The SDIS at last displays some real values, but I am still missing the EQ value and Ammeter bar.
Dynamic engine numbers displayed in the cab and SDIS are a nice touch.
Will have a look inside the bin and simulation files to see what RSC provided.

Is the Cab Signal indication functional? Apparently not, since I tried a pair of the engines on the NEC and nothing was shown.
Is there any other US route with working ATC or at least Automatic Train Stop other than the SPAD?

What I did was replace the horn proxyml with the default, got it to work, then replaced it, and ouala! the K5LLH sounds great over Sherman!
