Thanks to all who are enjoying this addon and for the gentle words about my work, i have put the best of me to give you my best efforts the same way I did with my previous works like SH E44AC, SH SW10, F40Ph, Acela, etc. This is my first project like a third party after a few years working for RSC directly and I hope continue with more projects around the next year. I will focus my work on the value of the driver experience and the addition of more features based in the engineer's action inside the cab.

Thank you very much again. *!!thnx!!*

Ricardo Reppo Rivera.

PD: The description of the Centipede pack has an error, the pack includes 4 scenarios instead of the mentioned 3 ones. Also, one of them is a multi-scenario, where you can choice between 3 trains in the same scenario.

Wow, I like the sound of this engine.

I'll absolutely be getting this one.

That animated waiter strikes me as the most interesting part of this package (given the boredom that comes over me at the mere mention of passenger runs). Perhaps his technology will lead to better animated figures on station platforms and even elsewhere. While driving freight trains through stations on the Munich-Augsburg route, I've actually stopped to gape at the Matrix-inspired passengers: in what may have been an attempt to have the incredible clone people climb stairways instead of just materializing and dematerializing, these folks (volker?) pirouette high above the pavement and sink into it. If you haven't seen this spectacle, it's worth the price of admission. Let's hope that the animated waiter is earning a percentage of the pack's price, not just living on tips!

[And while the engineer is entertaining himself in the dining car, who's driving the train?]

Regards and chuckles,

Reppo,

My apologies over my "too much" remark earlier. Clearly I did not understand the depth you have provided with your creation. I hope this sets the standard going forward and would love to see the startup/shutdown complexity on all locomotives.

Trevor

No problem at all, Trevor.

While I work like third party instead of "by request of RSC" I have more freedom to create or discover more features to enhance the driver's experience.

Although I'm not mechanical or engineer, I spend a time studing the operation of diesel engines and locomotives to understand at least, the basic procedures. I hope implement more advanced features in my incoming projects.

Thanks.

Best Regards.

Hi Reppo,
This old engine looks awesome.
Did you find specific sounds for the Baldwin engine?

Reppo,

I wish to tell you ....what a beautiful locomotive! I run trains here in the states, and I must say..."You have set the bar"!! I still haven't seen the waiter yet, but I have only sone the test run "Cold and Dark". I love the start up and shut downs! Articulation...awesome. I have attached a few photos that I took for all of you to see. I HIGHLY recommended add on! Great job, thank you so much!!

Best Regards,

Galen

The 608SC is a rare bird, but Ricardo pulled some magic and the audio work is simply astounding.

If someone looks it up. Both engines are virtually identical, down to the turbo charger. Pretty neat, somewhere there's a picture of a 608's piston next to an EMD 567s and a coke can for comparison. 14" diameter I think.
Personally, this Centepede has set the bar so high for American DLC, that I really hope to see similar features in future products. !!*ok*!!
I don't know if Nick Ozorak will be doing a video review of it, but I may give it a shot once I get some time to do so.

So, is the battle of the world's largest steamer the same here? Centipede vs Centenniel? (I guess since this was technically classified as a flop (in real life, the RW one looks AMAZING!!!) the Centipede wins, since they ran far longer and were produced in greater quantity)-----(I think... *!question!* )

There were 55 Centipedes built and 47 DD40XXs built. The Centipede was made from45-48 and it looks like the last one was retired in 1959. Not sure about that because the Mexico information I found was a little sketchy. The DD40XX was built between 1969-1971 and ran until 1986. The DD40XX of course was a way higher horsepower unit and all of them ran a couple of million miles in service. They are both unique.

The PRR Centipede pack doesn't include the demonstrators shown on RSC's Facebook page, does it?
