Come'on Chris. you know most of us can't afford that sort of bump. *!sad!*

From what I am hearing, I don't think the graphical changes are going to be on the same scale as TS2012.

Based on how RSC is advertising the upgrade, I have to agree. When RW3 came around, the big thing was the much advanced graphics. With TS2013, it seems to be the three routes and the "new technology" features plus the relay play. Given that it doesn't appear there's much more they can do with DX9 (I could be wrong of course), I'd expect most of the graphics related improvements to be performance improvements, unless they've just implemented new weather effects.

Kind of hard to say since TS-2013 hasn't been released yet.

One thing that I didn't realize last night till it just hit me, is antialiasing. Go look at several pictures on RSC's Facebook of TS2013 vs some of their older pictures. It seems that while not perfect, the antialiasing seems a LOT better than in TS2012.

Hi Guys,

Please don't take this as a lecture, but rather as an alternative view to being nagative. There is some complaining going on here, and that is understandable to a point. No one likes change, even when they are presented with something better-since you don't always know how it will play out. I get it, but consider the following......

1. I am glad they are upgrading something. The alternative is MSTS, without the huge following and huge amount of content.
2. I am glad they are making some money on this, in fact, I want them to make a lot of money on this. The more money they make, the more they promote, the more customers drive the product and it lives a much longer life. Again, the alternative is MSTS.
3. I won't begrudge them a little profit, for without profit, this becomes a hobby for RSC and Steam, and companies don't do hobbies unlike you. Take the free upgrade and buy what else you want. No whining, no kidding. Then later support them and buy the upgrade if it is good.
4. Continue as you have done by getting on the "steam" roller to help guide it, don't attempt to stand in front of it yelling stop-it won't work. Any by this I mean, continue to show them a little appreciation, as if the economics of this game ever become too marginal, flaming them will only hasten their migration to something they get more enjoyment out of.
5. One of the worst problems you can have with this game, is if RSC quits promoting it and lets it die. Again, like many many other games with dead links, bad email addresses, and a staff that has moved on to some other game.

Remember, this game is fantastic compared to the alternative of.....wait for it.......no more game.

You guys are great with your inventivness and your ideas and help. Continue that, be skeptical-but not to a fault. Be constructively critical in your communications both to them and on this forum, we will all get more done. Look at the brightside, this could be some other "road built by a non-profit committie" with their really great upgrade schedule and forum, oh yeah, NOT.

I really appreciate the help and support you guys have given me with this game, so swallow hard, look for the good in this, help them with the problems, and continue to support the game and RSC. Thats my long view.

Hi Chris,

I agree, always a risk, but in all things you are either moving forward, or falling behind. I want this game to be successful so as to be supported for years to come.

I also wondered what your connection to Arizona was! Didn't know if you lived here or not.

Take care,
Rick

They're pretty liberal with the term "multiplayer", though the environment looks good. I'm also digging the quick drive option...

...but "Cayhoon Pass?" !**duh*!!
