Guard Van Bogie, known issue mentioned in the manual :) I'm not sure the Guard Van was even meant to be in the pack! I am off for a week from tomorrow and will resume this wee project on my return.

In direct comparison one notices how small British stock is compared to US. Those coaches are even lower in profile than the "Amcans", which are already quite "low profile" by themselves I think.

Otherwise, congratulations an a conversion job well done. The NEC will be more colourful with your repaints.
The small finishing touches and little bugs can wait until your return.

I haven't seen a Genesis on the NE Corridor in quite some time, let alone at NY Penn Station. Having one coupled to an AEM-7 wouldn't be prototypical.

So far as freight, CSX is the major player in the NY/NJ area, in particular in Port Newark.
