Judging by these shots, am I correct in assuming that shadows will now be rendered by the game engine without the need to create a shadow model?
The word?..The word is no. I am, therefore, going anyway..

I recall somebody making a very well-weathered repaint of the GP9 and then abandoning it because of lighting issues. I wonder if the new lighting system fixed this sort of thing...

I like how everything looks so far and am glad RW will make use of my Quad core CPU now. !!*ok*!! to the guys at RSC for making a !*drool*! worthy advancement in RW/TS. I can't wait for the update.

Aren't you getting ahead of the calender? I thought that stuff was supposed to happen in 2012 not 2011? Image

Whoa! I got dyslexic there, for a moment. I was reading TrainSim 2012 and then the date. Whew!

At least we'll get to use it for a little while, I guess! !*salute*!

Seriously though, Thanks RW Team! I've been wanting car/loco sway since MSTS days. SO exciting!!

I have been told such, but I'd like it officially too.

One thing I've not seen mentioned is any rework of the sound engine - I'm quite fed up with ALchemy by this point, and all the dropouts. Anything to report on that front when you wake up, Paul?

Now I know that my dlc money was well-invested. !!*ok*!!

Do you also notice what I notice?
The new upgrade is an offer of conciliation with the US trainsim community.
Nearly all criticism by the US side is adressed with it:
- working headlights
- improved physics (train length, multiple units)
- draw distance
and a lot more...

This is the final coffin nail for MSTS. And it's good so.
MSTS had its time and surely was great, but now it's time to say good-bye.
People who still stick to it - What can RS.com do more?
(And Trainz can't keep up with the upgrade, either.)

P.S. I really hope RWA doesn't get renamed again. Please leave it RWA.

I have no intention of renaming RWA. After all, the sim is still called RailWorks, even though they added the extra TrainSimulater 2012 to the name.

Excellent Work RS Team *!!thnx!!* . I'm worried my 'puter won't handle the new graphics well.
