TS future

I wonder if there's been any thought given to releasing a software development kit for TS2016 once the new engine is out. Alpenfreight's weather mod shows there is still life and room for improvement in the existing engine.

Some game developers release an sdk while a game is still being sold, e.g. Bethesda for Oblivion/Skyrim right? Others do so when the old engine is receiving only limited support, older Paradox engines come to mind.

Just thinking out loud I guess.

I have more routes and scenarios than I have time for playing them.
I have yet to start exploring european routes.
I can keep going with TS2016 for the next 20 years or so

Also on the gossip front, Virtual Rail Creations has exported as least part of a new engine to UE4...
That S.P. U30C would be appropriate for a period Tehachapi.
