hmm.. cant say i do.. Are they coming out with an SP SD45 ? If so im a happy camper *!greengrin!* Wouldn`t mind a dirty lookin`Conrail unit to be released aswell. *!greengrin!*

SD45s were withdrawn from Donner Pass shortly after being introduced because of overheating due to the high mounted and flared radiator intakes in the over 30 miles of snow sheds and tunnels. They were transferred to other SP divisions and replaced by SD45T-2s and SD40T-2s with the low mounted intakes.

EDIT: The T2s were called 'Tunnel Motors'

From what i could understand from bnsfdude someone is probably already working on an SP reskin.. How about a Conrail SD45 ? What a beast ! I do recall you being a Conrail man.. *!!wink!!*

Is there no easier way to decompress or compress or whatever? Derek, are you reading this thread? We need to get styckx going with reskin work *!twisted!*

Eh.. I've already dug through the forums. This was news months ago. I'm just late to the party. *!lol!*

Well I just bought the SD45 on the Steam sale. Too bad they don't have my favorite loco of all time, the 4200HP SD45X. **!!bow!!**

I just need the DDA40X and the P42DC and my must haves RSC currently sells are complete. They both need to come back on steam first. They are being worked on and updated.

The EMD models I'd also like to get is the GP30 (currently being updated by digital trains) and a GP40 or GP40-2. SANTA.....I need to get some of the following....SD50,SD60, SD80MAC and a SD80ACe. And maybe a DD35A too, Even though I'm a lukewarm fan of 4-strokes, I wouldn't mind getting a SD90MAC and a AC6000CW too.

It's Christmas and I'm in wish list mode. Forgive me! !*YAAA*!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

I'm out.. I deleted it again.. I apparently gave too much credit too soon.. So silly of me..

Why why why is this game so self destructive? I purposely kept it vanilla to stop it from destroying itself and.. It destroyed itself.. Unbelievable.. It started out innocently enough. A quick drive scenario took 10 minutes to load. 5 minutes on the quick drive menu before it finally switched to the loading scenario screen which took 5 more minutes.. This should have taken 20 seconds tops like it did before.

Once it loaded I exited the game.. Tried to reload to see if it was just a glitch.. Nope.. This time after 10 minutes my HDD light was a solid color and just nothing going on.. CTRL-ALT-DELETE.

Re-Run TS013

BADLY FORMED XML dialog... The stupid sim doesn't even start now.

I'm done.. I tried.. I really did.. I did everything RSC wants you to do. Kept it simple, no tweaks, I didn't edit a single xml, just steamworks, and TS 2013... Again.. I have the time in the stupid world to deal with this.. I-SHOULD-NOT-HAVE-TO.. Nothing I ever owned is this self destructive.. I.. Just.... I'm at a loss for words.. Over 4 years dealing with this sim and it's still predictably unpredictable. Such a shame and such a waste..

Thanks to Google: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=3030241

Bye.. Sorry I couldn't stay longer.. Good luck..

Don't you give up that easily. I think when the Donner update comes, it'll patch everyone else's core too. Not 100%, but I haven't had issues at all except AVG wanting to throw the EXE out when I load it every once in a while.

Nope.. This is RSC ignorance. I am done.. I refuse to even begin to solve it.. You even have a RSC employees out on forums dealing with this exact issue.

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=129516

Seriously. Who wants to deal with that just to get their fake train game working again? It's ridiculous and it's common place. A year ago I would have been ripping the sim apart to solve it. But I'm over being a part time program analyst and debugger.. I came back to just drive the sim and have fun.. It doesn't want to even allow me to do that so.

I won't..

I am aware, but like I said, it's been non issue for me, and I've been dicking around scenario editor all week without having issue. So maybe it's a version of the game you (the community) have that's causing the issue. If it would've happened to any on the Beta or QA team, it wouldn't have been released. You've been in "the matrix" before, you know it wouldn't have been released had an issue turned up. Could be caused by steam, who knows at this point.

Well, Bill, it was nice to see you back for a while. I've just been busy with real life as of late. It's always nice to read your knowledge. !!*ok*!! !*salute*! But I understand your frustration with the sim.

BTW, I fry fish in a pan, and corn on the grill. No beans, makes me fart. !*roll-laugh*!

Hmm yeah. No.

Thanks Chris! Sad about it but it's for the best.. I'm giving something else a fair shake for a few months and if that is the same stabbing in the eyes with a pencil that RS 2013 is.. I will delete that too. I have plenty of games to keep me busy I would just really like a stable train simulator to drive.. Graphics I could careless about.. I just want a program that is stable and the goal posts don't randomly fall over.. After being moved. And any Run8 salesman please stay at home.. No..

There is a answer out there somewhere although I have no idea what it is exactly. I have nothing on my RW machine except RW and some utility programs and Firefox. My security is AVG. I am a bit of a nut about about defragging and and I have Iobit Advanced System Care on this machine. I have found the 64 bit version of Win7 to run Rail Works much better than my old 32 bit system, but I have to say that this is a extremely stable program and I have a lot of routes (almost every American) and a huge group of American locos and cars in my folder. I think last time I check my total Steam folder was like 64 gigs.

My system almost never crashes and when it does it's almost always on loading a scenario that I have just made a change to so I just have to go find out what is causing it. I have never purged 2013 and re-installed. This computer never had anything but 2013 on it. My 2012 was on my old machine and is backed up on a external hard drive so I can go grab assets when I need them.

In no way am I bragging about this I just wish I could offer better suggestions to people having trouble.
