Let me count the ways !*roll-laugh*!

There's a lot of hyped up venting going on. My only hope is that the upcoming changes let me still run/play as I am on the low end of the game requirements for CPU and graphics.

IMHO RSC isn't now or for any forseeable future going to do any thing about the physic or Ai issues. There fore I suggest that those who have the coding skills band together and do what a group did at (That other Train Sim)
and work out the conditions required to improve what needs improving. There is the problem of upgrades by RSC causing everything to return to their settings but Doc(Machinest) has a work around for that. A bit of of a PITA but it works.

I would be honored to work with any one willing to try and upgrade the physics as a tester providing I have the equipment being worked on..

The carping about the upcoming upgrade is a bit much RSC is going to give us the up grade for FREE.
Or you will have to buy the 2013 package and get new routes and engines not a bad deal. No company should be expected to give up the total fruits of their labors. Having said that RSC needs to repair their worst FUBARS and get them to the using public sooner than later. !!jabber!! !!**sorry**!!

Everyone calm down, take a breath. Some people don't grasp whats going on as fast as others.
Please don't turn this great forum into the disaster over at Train sim. Seems a few folks are a little dim at what RW is offering.
Give it time. *!rolleyes!*

The best thing to do is buy the new game and delete all the old stuff because you know it won''t work like the 3d party stuff mostly the payware mess and start over. Hey it's a hobby for crying out loud. Everybody knows the drill by now. !*roll-laugh*! Unless you are a programer or can use graphics tools your screwed. You are at the mercy of how much money you can blow just as any hobby is. If you don't like RW don't buy it. If you have a problem why post it here as everyone has said they don't care. Good luck to everyone and I will see you in a run 8 session hopefully where the big boys will be playing. Over and out. !!howdy!!

Or, you could be like me, take the free upgrade, and only buy Sherman. I did the same thing with 2012 and HSC.

I haven't and won't purchase any European stuff, as I don't live in Europe. I did buy Phorum, and it only for the charity it supported.

Awesome, RSC! Looking forward to the FREE upgrade to TS2013! You guys are great! Keep up the good work!

Thanks,
Don

P.S. Some of you guys just whine too much. They can't GIVE away EVERYTHING, or they will be out of business... they would have to have NEW customers in order to bring in any money.... and notice, some of the new features are there for that purpose. Those new features that hardcore simmers may or may not use, are financing our FREE improvements. Something to thank RSC for, not complain about. Plus they are consistent. This is exactly what they did with TS2012. **!!2cents!!**

This sounded good to me.

My biggest gripe with this game is the HUD and lack of options. I am hoping this will bring me what I want without having to spend more money. Crossing my fingers I can get a better profile display without showing upcoming signal aspect. Even if they just had a little up or down arrow with the grade it would be a help..

Now I can only hope they include keybind options so I don't keep having my locomotive run up 100% power when I accidentally use WASD to move my conductor aka the camera..

I like the idea of having a place to put up mods, may make it a lot easier to gather assets which has been a royal pain for me as a new user.

Big Boy is since a long time RSC (no more IHH instead), just check in Steam Store produtor information. I'm about to finish a complete freeware enhancement for the Big Boy (lighting, cabviews and a new smoke system) and will send it soon to bpetit release a pack including his performance updgrade. The Boy will be Big & Ready for Sherman Hill on time... !*salute*!

Still no AI improvments? Throwing the Golden Apple of DLC out to distract us from the the lack of talk about Multiplayer (could this be Relay Play?).

Don't know about ya'll, my TS2012 is staying offline and locked tight until we see what grief (or joy) round 2 of the Great Update brings us.

EDIT: Gamers Hell is reporting Relay Play as Multiplayer. Seems to me RSC should have stated that in big bold letters with lots of exclamation marks instead what amounts to a passing reference.

I agree with MadMike, I will probably go after Sherman Hill with the free upgrade to 2013. Not to go against our brothers across the Atlantic, I am not into British or German railroads.
One thing is certain, I really enjoy and happy with what I have right now with Railworks 2012. Yes I agree something needs to change and be fixed but in my mind the issues are small. I really give RSC a 85 percent out of 100 for what we have right now. My gripe is, I see more content for European side then for the US side from RSC. If RSC would only have listened and made available more content then most of us would have been willing to pay for it. With my fingers crossed I hope that RSC will fix the problems with Donner Pass and other routes and rolling stock and keep updating the simulator as needed basis throwing in a few more nice technologies and I will be 100 percent happy.

Some of you guys REALLY, REALLY need to chill. They are giving the game (this IS a game, remember) a makeover. For free. Yes, you can BUY the DLC, or not buy it. I will buy Sherman Hill (really looking forward to that one); RSC has had some failures, but who hasn't. Just look at some of the crap games that are being released right now, and the lousy "support" that the publishers hand out (instead of releasing a finished game in the first place), and I think many will agree that RSC have done a great job in an industry where you are expected to fail rather than succeed. It is just a game.

Only thing i'm really concerned with at this point is on September 21st, will I have to make a trip to MicroCenter to drop $500 on a new video card that will run the "new and improved" version? I still cringe when I think about all the issues TS2012 caused.

You can get a GTX660TI for half that price at New Egg. Even a GTX670 is only $399.
